META MEDIA- Estrategias en la
producción de arte mediático contemporáneo
La segunda semana de
Julio tendremos un taller de videoarte con el artista internacional Constantin Hartenstein.
El curso de verano META
MEDIA, Estrategias en la producción de arte mediático contemporáneo se
fundamenta en artistas que utilizan imágenes en movimiento en su práctica
artística cotidiana. ¿Qué métodos utilizan en la creación de arte mediático?
¿Qué papel juega la narrativa y el tiempo en su obra? ¿Cómo afecta internet a
la producción artística, al objeto de arte, el espectador/consumidor y el
artista/productor? Se discutirán las últimas innovaciones en arte mediático,
tanto con ejemplos teóricos como con ejercicios prácticos. Se presentarán obras
audiovisuales escogidas que den pie a debate y análisis
detallado. Este seminario profundizará en una variedad de prácticas artísticas
mediáticas cuyo objetivo será inspirar a los participantes, ayudándoles a
pensar su propio discurso en videoarte. Los asistentes al curso tendrán la
oportunidad de presentar su trabajo y ser comentado por el artista invitado y
los participantes. Los resultados del curso se harán públicos mediante un
visionado y/o difusión en internet.
¿Quién es el profesor?
Constantin Hartenstein (1982), es un artista residente en
Berlín. Estudió en University of the Arts Berlin and Braunschweig University of Art con la catedrática Candice Breitz. En 2011,
trabajó para el pabellón alemán, como productor de vídeo, en la Bienal de
Venecia. Desde 2014, da conferencias de videoarte y arte mediático
contemporáneo. Es coofundador del I SEE
International Video Art Festival junto a Clemens Wilhelm, cuyo objetivo es
mostrar las últimas innovaciones en videoarte a nivel internacional.
Ha sido artista
en residencia en: Triangle Arts
Association New York (USA), Grand
Central Art Center, Santa Ana (USA), Flux
Factory, New York (USA) y Künstlerdorf Schöppingen
(D). Ha ganado numerosos premios, como "Kraft
Prize for New Media" 2013, „IFA
Künstlerkontakte" project grant, video art prize "BRAWO" (D), "Stichting
Stokroos“ project grant (NL), "Kunststiftung
NRW" residency grant (D) and the "Karl
Hofer Gesellschaft" studio grant (D). En 2012, fue seleccionado para
participar en el taller "VISIO
emerging artists“ en Florencia, Italia.
Sus obras han
sido adquiridas por colecciones tanto públicas como privadas, y expuestas en
instituciones internacionales. Recientes

Material que traiga el alumno: Un portátil y una cámara de vídeo para hacer un ejercicio (puede ser la cámara del teléfono).
Requisito de admisión: Este taller está abierto a cualquier persona que tenga
experiencia en videoarte o cine, y que sean capaces de preparar una
presentación de un vídeo o cortometraje propio, ya esté acabado o inacabado.
Cada participante ha de traer su portátil.
A quién va dirigido: a artistas, profesores de arte/vídeo/cine, estudiantes
de arte/vídeo/cine y público general que produzca material audiovisual y esté
interesado en el curso.
Diploma: Obtendrás
un papel firmado por el profesor y la dirección que diga hiciste este taller.
Duración: 5
días/ 25 horas. De 10 de la mañana a 4 de la tarde, con una hora de descanso para comer.

The second week of July we will have a video art
workshop by international artist Constantin Hartenstein.
The summer course META
MEDIA – strategies in contemporary media art production focuses on
artists using moving images in their art practice. How do artists implement
media art, storytelling and time-based video in their work? How does the
Internet affect art production, objectification, the viewer and the maker
today? The latest developments in media art will be discussed – both with
theoretical examples and practical exercises. Selected video art works will be
presented to serve as a basis for further discussion and reflection. This
seminar will give a deep insight into various media art practices to inspire the
participants own work. They will be able to develop their own voice and
language working with time-based media and video art. The participants will present their own work in
progress and get feedback from the lecturer and the group. As
an outcome, the produced video works will be shown in a public screening event
and/or in internet.
About
the lecturer:
Constantin Hartenstein (1982), is an
artist based in Berlin. He studied at University
of the Arts Berlin and Braunschweig University of Art with Professor
Candice Breitz. In 2011, he worked for the German Pavilion at the 2011 Venice Art Biennale as a film producer.
Since 2014, he is a lecturer for contemporary art with a focus on
contemporary video and media art. The I SEE International Video Art Festival
is an initiative of the Berlin artists Constantin Hartenstein and Clemens
Wilhelm, founded in 2013. The aim of I
SEE is to reveal the latest developments in contemporary video art from
around the world.
Hartenstein participated in several
artist in residency programs such as Triangle
Arts Association New York (USA), Grand
Central Art Center, Santa Ana (USA), Flux
Factory, New York (USA) and Künstlerdorf Schöppingen
(D). He is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards such as "Kraft Prize for New Media"
